Today, Ford County Vice Chairman Carson Vaughn — a pre-med and pre-law student at the University of Illinois — joined the Prairieland CEO class to share his journey in leadership, civic involvement, and personal growth.

Carson spoke about the importance of service, staying true to your values, and finding purpose in helping others. He also discussed how his experiences in both government and higher education have shaped his career goals and fueled his drive to make a difference.

He encouraged students to believe in themselves, set ambitious goals, and never lose sight of what truly matters, reminding them that “you can do anything you want to do. If no one else will believe in you — I will.”

His message was an inspiring reminder that tomorrow is what you make of it — so always dream big, work hard, and stay committed to growth.
