CLASS, MEET SHAWN š
Board Chairman, Prairieland CEO
When youāre building something that matters, you need someone steady at the head of the table.
Thatās Shawn.
Heās been part of our (still growing) board for the past few years, so when he stepped into the President role this year, it wasnāt a leap; it was a natural next step.
He understands the history.
He sees the gaps.
& heās not afraid to fix them.
Shawn leads with logic over ego. Decisions arenāt made to keep everyone comfortable, theyāre made to move the program forward.
Heās communicative. Open to ideas. Big on teamwork. & since taking on this role, heās already implemented structural changes that are setting our board up for long-term sustainability.
Not flashy changes. Foundational ones.
Outside of CEO, he is the Chief Financial Officer for Premier Cooperative Inc. and operates a small business bookkeeping service, Elevate LLP. Shawn lives on his farm in Melvin with his wife, Dayna.
This year also brought a brand new title: Dad.
He and Dayna welcomed their daughter Reese last month and heās learning how to balance board leadership with midnight feedings⦠which might be the ultimate leadership training.
So yes⦠heās building a future here while also building one at home.
Weāre grateful for his leadership that thinks beyond the moment. Thank you Shawn!
