On Monday, our Prairieland CEO students had the opportunity to visit a local family farm, hosted by Prairieland CEO alumna Lexi Murray!

Chris and Jack gave our students an up-close look at harvest, showing how the combine and auger carts work together to efficiently bring in the crop. Students also got to see firsthand what goes into operating a diversified farming business.

Beyond the equipment and harvest operations, we enjoyed learning about the family's history and how their farm has grown and evolved over the years. With roots in the Dewey area dating back to 1870, this family is going on seven generations strong!

A great reminder that farming is more than growing crops. It's about business, innovation, adapting to change, and building something that lasts for generations.

A big thank-you to Lexi, Chris, Jack, and the entire family for welcoming our students and sharing your time, knowledge, and story with us!
